9:45 – 2:30 Fridays January 24, January 31, February 7, February 21, February 28.
$275 for 5 Fridays (if needed, snow makeup day March 6)
9:45 – 10:00 Arrival and social and snack time.
10:00 – 10:55 “Project Good” Community Service and participation. This class will focus on student-originated and student-designed projects to address issues or problems in our community. Starting with the question “what do we see” and applying “why?” 5 times we begin to uncover the sources and solutions needed to improve our world.
11:00 – 11:45 Psychology This high school level introductory Psychology class will give students the basic concepts of Psychology and how it is applied in daily life.
11:45 – 1:00 Lunch and Free time/Social Time. We sell slices of pizza for lunch, or students bring their own lunch. Students choose how to spend their time with an option for a facilitated Dungeons and Dragons game, ping pong, board games, origami, ga-ga, walking the outdoor labyrinth, reading, drawing or just socializing.
1:00 – 2:15 Debate Class – This class will focus on issues that are of interest to students. Participants will learn research skills, communication, persuasion, cooperation, supporting claims with evidence. If there is interest a debate competition can be a focus.
2:15 – 2:30 Clean up, gather belongings, say goodbye, get picked up.
