Announcing Mid-Year Scholarships
Scholarships & tuition grants available
for motivated, creative learners.
Middle school is a big leap—and for some students, the traditional setting can feel overwhelming, rigid, or simply not the right fit. The Birch School is a small, creative learning community where students are known well, supported deeply, and encouraged to grow into motivated, self-directed learners.
To help welcome new students who are a strong match for our community, we are offering a limited number of competitive Scholar Awards and Opportunity Tuition Grants for students entering grades 6–8.
Birch Middle School Scholar Awards (Competitive)
What This Opportunity Is:
Scholar Awards are competitive tuition awards for students who show strong alignment with Birch’s learning environment. These awards recognize qualities such as:
Curiosity and engagement with learning
Motivation and growing self-direction
Creativity, problem-solving, or original thinking
Kindness, collaboration, and community-mindedness
Resilience and willingness to try again
Scholar Awards are limited and awarded through an application process.
Who Is a Great Fit for Birch
Birch is a strong match for students who:
Want a smaller, calmer, more personal school community
Learn best through hands-on projects, discussion, creativity, and real-world experiences
Are motivated—or ready to rebuild motivation in a supportive setting
Can take some responsibility for their learning with guidance (we teach these skills!)
Value kindness, respect, and belonging
Students do not need to be “perfect” or fully independent. We’re looking for students who are willing to participate, grow, and engage with support.
Now accepting applications through January 24th – Begin attending by February 1
