families can pick what works for them

Using Creativity and Advanced Technology to Customize Learning

We offer a variety of options so that families can pick what works for them.  We want to support families as they create programs and schedule that are “just right” for their students.

We Offer This Program For Grades 6 – 12,
Middle And High School

Our “Base Core Program” is 4 mornings per week in-person. The morning core program covers the subjects of math, science, history, social studies, english language arts. This program is primarily teacher-led, and utilizes a blend of teacher instruction, small group discussion, partner work, and on-line learning tools. Teachers offer lessons in real-time, and assign projects and independent work that students complete off-line. Students complete work and are graded and report cards and transcripts are provided.  This option is available to families who are homeschooling their students and are looking to supplement instruction in the core subjects. (high performing, ambitious 5th graders considered for enrollment).

We combine the “Base Core Program” with in-person, full-day attendance to provide a traditional full-time attendance option. Friday is a remote learning day, with organized online meetings, advisories, and off-line independent activities and assignments.

Students enrolled in this program are considered Full-Time students of The Birch School, and can work toward a High School diploma upon completion of this program.

"Birch Boundless" is a two-day Drop-Off program for Homeschooled Teens.

Offered two days a week, on Tuesday and Thursday, this program is focused on peer interaction, group projects, and elective classes. This program also offers regular advisory meetings with adult staff, monthly support seminars for caregivers, and more. Find out the details here
