We aim to offer a variety of options so that
families can pick what works for them

Using Advanced Technology to Customize Learning

We offer a variety of options so that families can pick what works for them.  We want to support families as they create programs and schedule that are “just right” for their students.

BASE CORE PROGRAM

We Offer This Program For Grades 5 – 12,
Middle And High School

Our “Base Core Program” is 4 mornings per week. Students can participate either virtually or in-person, depending on the options chosen upon enrollment. The morning core program covers the subjects of math, science, history, social studies, english language arts. This program is primarily teacher-led, and utilizes a blend of teacher instruction, small group discussion, partner work, and on-line learning tools. Teachers offer lessons in real-time, and assign projects and independent work that students complete off-line. Students complete work and are graded and report cards and transcripts are provided. (Homeschoolers can opt out of the grading/recordkeeping and continue to report to their districts as homeschoolers if that option is chosen upon enrollment.)

IN-PERSON FULL-TIME

We Offer This Program For Grades 5 – 12,
Middle And High School

We combine the “Base Core Program” with in-person, full-day attendance to provide a traditional full-time, 4-day per week daily attendance option. Friday is a virtual day, with organized online meetings and off-line independent activities.

Space is limited in this portion of the program, and groups will remain small to ensure safety of all.

IN-PERSON PART-TIME

This option combines the “Base Core Program” with in-person attendance some days

Families can opt for morning or full-day attendance 1, 2 or 3 days per week, depending on choices upon enrollment. You may choose this option for mornings (until 12;15PM), or full day, (until 3:10).

VERY IMPORTANT! When students are not attending in-person, they are participating in the “Base Core Program” remotely from home. Attendance is expected every morning, whether students are learning from home on in school.

You may choose to attend in-person and participate in the program in school on one, two or three days. Space is limited in the part-time program and preference given to families who commit to the entire school year.

HOMESCHOOL VIRTUAL SCHOOL

We Invite Homeschoolers to Participate

Homeschoolers can participate in the “Base Core Program” 4 or 5 mornings per week. They can choose to participate in the advisory and grading/recordkeeping, or continue to report to their districts as homeschoolers. Either option may be chosen upon enrollment.

AFTERNOONS IN-PERSON EXPERIENCE

This program is available as space permits.

A variety of learning experiences take place in the afternoons. Teacher-led classes are offered, with guest teachers often in residence to share special skills. Professional artists and craftspeople offer classes as well. Learning centers and stations are available for students to work at their own pace and in the order they choose.

Outside online classes are another option for afternoon learning. Afternoons are also ideal for student-led passion projects, for collaborative work and for small group experiences. Sometimes labs, breakout rooms, scavenger hunts, and media challenges are offered.

Students may choose to attend afternoons two, three or four days per week. This program runs from 12:30 – 3:10.
